Banana Bread

                             

 Banana Bread 

This is the easiest banana recipe I have ever tried. Its very quick and you only need a few ingredients. Hope you like it!!!

Ingredients:

2 large and ripe bananas

1/3 of a cup butter

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 of a cup sugar

1 egg

1 vanilla stick or 2 valilla powder packets

1 1/2 cup of flour

a pinch of salt

How to make:

First of all preheat the oven at 170C/ 375F. Then mush the bananas with a fork and  add the butter and mix together. Afterwards add the baking powder and salt and stir together. When its blended add the sugar, the egg and the vanilla and again mix them all. Lastly add the flour. Put the mixture in a baking pan and bake for 50 min to 1 hour at 170C/375F until the top is goldenbrown and its ready!!!

Alice In Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland was written in 1865 by English author Lewis Carroll. Originally it was just a story he told to his friend's daughters on a trip but after seeing how much they loved the story he decided to publish it. It's about a little girl, named Alice, who follows a rabbit through a hole in the ground and finds hershelf in a magic place called ''Wonderland''. In this land there are talking animals and plants, magic and of cource an evil queen. I was familiar with this story after all the movies I had watched when I was younger but I had never read the book. Until a couple of weeks ago I bought it in a book fair I went. It was highly entertaining, funny and so peculiar, I loved it!! It was so different than the other classics I had read but still so great! I highly recommend it, epsecially to middle grade novel lovers. Come and follow me down this rabbit hole for a magical adventure! This is the Greek edition of the book.

A Monster Calls

This is the story of a thirteen year old kid, Conor, whose mum is ill and he is having many struggles in his life. One night a monster comes at his window and keeps asking Conor one thing, the truth. I knew going into this that it was emotional, but oh boy, by the end of this book I was crying my eyes out. It was deeply moving, had a slice of life and just so heartwreching. It spoke about the importance of family, coming to terms with situations you don't like and can't control, and just accepting them. This book was a great read but at the same time dealing with sensitive concepts such as the loss of a family member. I really liked it and I do recommend it, just be prepared to cry. Originally the idea of this book belonged to Siobhan Dowd but she never got to finish it so Patrick Ness did it for her. This is the Greek edition of the book.

Turtles All The Way Down

I read ''Turtles all the way down'' by John Green and I was left with so many emotions. This is the story of a teenager with OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder), her struggles and feelings while experiencing friendship and also love for the first time. It's an ''own voices'' story since John Green also has OCD and this is based on his experiences. Through all the emotional pain and crippling anxiety the main character goes I was left shocked and sad and all I wanted to do was hug her and reassure her that everything is gonna work out. I didn't identify with her but this book delivered an emotional punch even to me. I liked the ending but my favorite part was when it was explained why it's called ''Turtles all the way down", that was just amazing. I would recommend this to anyone who is on the search for a contemporary with all the feels!! This is the Greek edition with the original cover.

Ruby Red Trilogy

Yesterday I bought the last two books of the ''Ruby Red'' trilogy. I know they have been out for a while (almost 10 years now) but I hadn't picked them up earlier. I am so excited to read them because I have never read any books about time-travel and I think this is going to be a good start with all the love this series has gotten. The books are in order: Ruby Red, Sapphire Blue and Emerald Green. They were originally published in German and this is the Greek edition with the original covers. Can't wait to start this time-traveling journey!!!

Asian food

  Last week on a trip I went I wanted to eat some asian food. I love sushi but I had never really sat in a asian restaurant and tried normal dishes, so this time I ordered some "tebura ebi" if I remember correctly and of cource I had a side dish of sushi with avocado and soy sauce. It was delicious!!!
